The Lya Segall Ovarian Cancer Institute at Mercy Medical Center is a National Center of Excellence designed to offer patients one of the best, most comprehensive programs in the United States.

By building a center that facilitates one-on- one interaction between doctor and patient, while developing a community among the patients going through treatment, the Institute aims to create better outcomes and responses to treatment. After two years of planning the design team, physicians, facilities personnel, and donors developed a program for a 1200 SF space wholly devoted to patients dealing with ovarian cancer diagnosis. The Institute’s state-of- the-art suite masterfully blends technology and integrated medical services to give surgeons and patients access to information, data, and diagnostic tools while maintaining a comforting, calming boutique spa feel.
